"Krötenwerkstatt" visits a bank

Visit of "Krötenwerkstatt"

On 22nd June 2013, Gabriele Krings of „Krötenwerkstatt“ (a debt prevention project conducted by the SKM Lingen) visited the Volksbank Lingen eG together with a group of young people who are currently taking part in a vocational preparation training project of the Krötenwerkstatt.

Based on practical examples, Mario Schmitjans and Eval Prekel-Meiners - two employees of the bank - provided valuable hints and tips on consumer behavior and how to avoid debt traps.

All of the young people were going to start a vocational training in August. So the bank employees advised them of many important things, they should think of before starting the training.

Marion Menger gave some insight into payment transactions. She showed them how to pay into the bank and how to withdraw money, how money transfers work and how to use a cash machine.

We wish the young people a successful start into working life and good luck for the future!
