Whether you’re currently working or receiving Social Welfare, you probably get your money through the banking system and rarely hold actual cash in your hand.
This makes it all the more difficult to keep track of where it is and where it’s going – this means that we need money management education more than ever.
MABS is aware that each of us has very different needs when it comes to money. We know that one size does not fit all, and so we tailor our money management education programmes and resources to suit specific groups of learners. We try to keep our resources relevant to you – helping you learn the skills that will make it easier for you to help yourself.
MABS does this work in a number of ways. In some cases, our Money Advisers deliver education programmes to groups in their local areas. This is dependent on the local MABS office’s priorities and capacity at any one time. We also work with other organisations to create learning resources that can be delivered to learners by others. Lastly, we work with agencies on a national level to try to ensure that appropriate money management education programmes can reach everyone in Ireland.
